The rules
- GOAT Builds go past the normal MyPLAYER Builder caps for height, weight and attributes. The Magic Johnson build, for one, is a point guard taller than the 6'7" a created PG can be.
- Signature animations and base stats are locked to each player.
- Badges, Cap Breakers and Takeovers stay open, so you still choose your own badge setup.
- There is no direct purchase: every build is earned through the builder path, the rewards track, REP or Lifetime Challenges.
Cap Breakers
- A Cap Breaker raises one attribute above the cap set by your build's height, weight and wingspan, and applying one is permanent.
- An attribute can take at most 5 Cap Breakers.
- Build Specialization also pays out Cap Breakers: you pick one of six disciplines, hit its attribute requirement, then work through 10 goals.
- The Season 2 rewards track ends with +1 Cap Breaker at Level 40.
- How much a breaker adds depends on your frame, the attribute and your current rating. 2K shows the exact gain in the in-game Builder Glossary once a build reaches 99 OVR.
