Where the 28 Cap Breakers come from
- REP milestones: 11. Rookie VI, Starter I, IV, VII, Veteran I, IV, VI, Elite I and III give 1 each. Legend gives 2.
- Crew levels: 4. Levels 16, 22, 29 and 40, one each. Each needs 7 days of Crew membership, and you keep them if you leave.
- Season rewards: 9. Level 40 of each season's track, one per season, Seasons 1 to 9.
- Build Specialization: 2. Goal 9 gives 2. Both must go to the category you specialized in (or Free Throw).
- Lifetime Challenges: 2. 200 and 400 completed goals, one each.
REP ladder (40 levels, 11 Cap Breakers)
REP is the year-long ladder you climb by playing games in The City. It does not reset between seasons. 2XREP events double it, and a full Crew squad adds a bonus.

Crew ladder (40 levels, 4 Cap Breakers)
- A Crew holds up to 50 players. Playing games and finishing weekly goals earns Crew XP, and the whole Crew shares one level.
- Cap Breakers and other MyPLAYER rewards have a 7 day cooldown that starts when you join. Leaving and joining a new Crew restarts it.
- Cap Breakers from Crews are earned once. Leaving and joining a new Crew does not give you more, and you keep the ones you already earned.
- The REP and VC bonuses only apply when your whole team is Crew members. Level 36 doubles REP.
- Crew HQ replaced Pro-Am in 2K27. Starting in Season 2, 2K adds five new Crew levels every season.
- Crew Divisions run in six tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Top Ranked), and every Crew drops two tiers at the start of a season.
